In order to perpetuate the sacred and cherished memory of the revered Late Thakur Biri Singh Saurat, a resident of Garhi Gopal, Tundla, District Firozabad (Uttar Pradesh), his esteemed wives, Late Smt. Rukmini Devi Saurat and Late Smt. Leelawati Devi Saurat, generously donated 50 bighas of land. Inspired by this noble vision, Thakur Biri Singh Educational Society was established in July 1945.

Guided by its rich academic heritage, disciplined environment, and progressive outlook, the institution steadily advanced in its educational journey, attaining recognition as a High School in 1948 and as an Intermediate College in 1963. Over the years, it has emerged as a distinguished and respected center of learning in the region.

With the objective of providing quality higher education to the youth of the area, particularly boys and girls, Thakur Biri Singh Mahavidyalaya was established through the inspiring efforts of Late Smt. Leelawati Devi Saurat. In recognition of its academic excellence and commitment to high educational standards, Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Agra, granted temporary affiliation for awarding degrees in the Faculty of Arts on 1, July 1986, followed by permanent affiliation on 2, October 1986, thereby formally acknowledging the institution’s academic credibility and stature.

Since its inception, the college has remained dedicated to the ideals of knowledge, values, discipline, and holistic personality development, making a significant contribution to the educational, cultural, and intellectual advancement of society in the region.
